The Universe is alive with metaphors, and just the right one is waiting for you! In the rush of our daily lives we often miss these messages from a deeper place and though we race to the gym and exercise our bodies, the muscles of our intuition, have been sorely neglected. The more you slow down and listen and the more you play, the stronger these muscles become. At Geryunant you will have all the time and space you need to listen and play. Together in a small non threatening group, a right and wrong free zone, you will play with words,images, music, and animation to effortlessly and joyfully unpack the goodies waiting for you.
We are four sisters who come from all around the world, and each though far away has followed a path of using the arts to bring themselves and others more fully alive! Come write with Louise, draw with Helen, sing with Suzy, and put it all together in an animated film with Janie. We celebrate the legacy and continue the path of our Mother, Isabel, and Father, Maurice.
The suggested donation for the weekend is $450, which includes meals, materials, and tuition. Geryunant, “making whole by the brook”, is an intimate rustic retreat center in the green hills of West Dummerston, Vermont. All costs are suggested donations by Friends of Geryunanat to keep things up and running. We can provide you with at list of nearby lodgings. If you prefer to stay with us, please be our guest. There will be plenty of good food, time to walk in the woods, dip in the brook, and "chill" out in the sauna. Enrollment is limited to 12 participants each weekend. No one will be turned away because of lack of funds. Work-study options are available. If the description of the workshop speaks to you please speak to us. Thank you for your continued support.

About the Facilitators:
Helen Hawes, M.F.A., has been a practicing artist for 35 years and has 30 years of teaching experience. She is a certified Focusing Trainer, Reiki Master, and Tai Chi instructor. She is the curator of two large corporate collections, and her own works hang in over 200 private and corporate collections. Jane Hawes, M.S.W. As a film maker, Jane moved to Sweden in 1983 where she has produced both animated and live-action films. Currently as an Art therapist Jane has incorporated film into her therapeutic work. Louise Hawes, M.F.A., has published more than a dozen books for readers of all ages. She is a founding faculty member of the nation’s first independent graduate school of fine arts, the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Suzy Hawes, I am a composer and musical director, a singer-songwriter and a performer. After study with various teachers who teach singing as a healing art, I have begun to hold workshops which celebrate sound as a means of contacting our energetic and instinctive selves, and of delighting in our lives.
