One Day Collaborative Workshops
led by Helen Hawes
Saturdays 10:00 - 5:00: November 7, 2010
Stuck in a rut? Tired of Playing alone? Want to learn how to be true to yourself and be in relationship? See the fighting all around but don’t know how to stop it?Join us for a one day collaborative workshop, in the woods, by the brook!
In these one day playful workshops we practice letting go of ownership and entering into relationship. We can relax into our creativity because we donʼt have to do it alone. We need only do our part. Someone comes before and someone comes after. Just like geese flying in their v formation, we can go to places in a group that we could never find on our own.
No previous training is necessary. There will be time to respond to the work when we are done. Responding is as creative a process as making the pieces. The studio is a non threatening, safe, right and wrong free zone!
Get out of the driver’s seat and into the passenger seat ,so you can enjoy the ride! Stop planning and start being here now! Let the drawing tell you what comes next. Startle yourself with brand new marks, or try on someone else’s and see how they fit.
Observe the difference between a reaction and a response. You can choose between seeing what you think is there and seeing what is really there.
How would the world change if we all really saw each other and not our own projections of fear? What would happen if we change attack and defense into Listen and respond? Playing together we can find out.

One Day Collaborative Art Workshops run from 10am to 5pm. The cost is $75. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. All materials are included in the cost. Bring a bag lunch, and we will picnic if weather permits.
